Part of She's Arkansas Heritage Collection, Dunbar Middle School is set along Wright Avenue in Little Rock. Built in 1929, it was named for the African American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar. The school is a smaller version of Little Rock Central High School. Dunbar has served as a junior and senior high school and as a junior college. Today, it is the Dunbar Gifted & Talented Education International Studies Magnet Middle School.
