Part of She's Arkansas Heritage Collection, Little Rock Central High School came to national attention when in the fall of 1957, nine students, later known as the Little Rock Nine, integrated into the all-white school. It was the first major test of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision, Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka. Little Rock Central High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark that is part of the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, along with the Magnolia Mobil Gas Station.
